Letter of Recommendation from Bob Fosse:  dated 1987

To Whom it may concern:

I have known Jennifer Nairn-Smith since 1972.  She worked for me in the original Broadway production of "Pippin", and in the movie"All That Jazz".  I found her to be enerjetic, creative, enthusiastic, a thorough professional, with impeccable dance training.

When I first engaged Ms. Nairn-Smith, I was well aware of her extensive training in classical and modern ballet, and her years of working with George Balanchine.  What amazed me was how she immediately took to jazz dancing.  She seems extremely capable in all of these forms.  In addition, I have found her to be quite charming, pleasant to be around, and extremely interested in her fellow artists.  I believe she would be an asset to any production as a choreographer or a dancer and recommend her highly and without reservation.

Sincerely,

Bob Fosse.
